Recently, Central Semi has launched a new TVS product in super high voltage application. The main focused market is 5G AAU, BBU and EV quick charging facilities. This CAK series has the following advantages:

1.          Use glass coating on semiconductor die --> increase product reliability and life

2.          AK type packing à increase transit power absorption to 1.4MW (380V/3kA or 240V/6kA) --> TVS with this absorption power supplier is seldom in market.

3.          Very low clamping voltage --> average Vc/Vrms is around 2.2

4.          Bi-directional TVS dies --> AC/DC applicable

As the AAU power cable is facing outdoor environment and many component in AAU is sensitive to transit voltage, split second surge voltage or lighting strike will damage the AAU. Therefore, the CAK TVS is necessary for the protection of power supply unit within AAU.
