Qualcomm's TWS earphones move towards the era of noise reduction

At 10 a.m. on March 26, Qualcomm held an online media communication meeting for voice and music business, and officially released a new generation of Bluetooth audio SOC, including qcc514x series for flagship products and qcc304x series for low and medium end markets. Compared with the previous qcc512x series and qcc30xx series, the qcc514x series and qcc304x series released in this release can provide more robust connection, longer battery life and higher comfort. Meanwhile, special hardware is integrated to support Qualcomm's hybrid ANC, voice assistant and top wireless voice and voice quality. Let's learn more about it:


1. Qualcomm true wireless mirroring technology

Qcc514x series and qcc304x series SOC will support Qualcomm truewirless mirroring technology. The technology allows one earplug to be wirelessly connected to the mobile phone via Bluetooth, and the other earplug becomes its "mirroring", and the two earplugs can be switched quickly in multiple use scenarios.


For example, after the earplug connected to the mobile phone is removed from the ear, the mirroring earplug can take over the connection with the mobile phone without any operation, avoiding the connection interruption of music or voice call.


Qualcomm truewiireless mirroring also supports the management of a single Bluetooth address, and when users pair two earplugs with their phone, the phone displays only one earplug device for pairing.


2. Integrated hybrid active noise reduction technology

Qcc514x series and qcc304x series SOC adopt integrated hybrid active noise reduction technology. By supporting ultra-low time delay transmission of external environment sound, the ANC special hardware integrated by SOC can truly sense the surrounding environment, so that users can not only use the ANC on the aircraft, but also in daily scenes such as sports, office and so on.


3. Ultra low power consumption and long endurance

Depending on the settings and other factors, the qcc514x and qcc304x SOC can support industry-leading low power consumption in different use cases, and the 65mah battery can support up to 13 hours of playback time. Now, the use of ANC has little impact on battery life. A longer battery life allows consumers to enjoy excellent sound quality in international flights or long hours of office.


In addition, a longer headset life also allows for a smaller charging box battery and a more compact design to make the earplugs easier to carry.


4. Voice assistant wake-up function ushered in comprehensive popularization

Qcc5141, a flagship product, especially provides online wake-up word activation for multiple voice ecosystems, such as Amazon's Alexa, Google assistant and other voice assistants;


Qcc304x series for entry-level and mid-range products can provide key voice activation for multiple voice ecosystems, helping OEMs to support voice assistant functions at a faster speed and lower cost.
